Elementary school placed on brief lockdown as police take a suspect into custody nearby
James Carter Elementary School in Palm Desert was placed on a brief lockdown Friday morning.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the school was lockdown as law enforcement was looking for a wanted suspect nearby.
