Human remains prompt investigation near Palm Springs

We are following breaking news happening near Palm Springs.

Investigators tell us deputies were called out to 16th Avenue around 4:30 Sunday night regarding found human remains.

Officials reported a central homicide unit was headed towards the location minutes later.
