California allows drive-up religious services
Riverside County officials amended a public health order to allow faith-based services to conduct drive-up worship services with certain restrictions.
This comes after the state issued a clarification on the Governor's stay-at-home order.
Worship services are allowed as long as individuals abide by physical distancing guidelines and refrain from physical contact.
Other restrictions includes that patrons must remain in their car with the windows up, no contact and vehicles must be 6 feet apart.
"In other words, faith-based services that are provided through streaming or other technology including drive-in services are considered essential under the Governor's order," reads Riverside County's amended order.
In-person are still prohibited under the Governor's order as are all public or private gatherings.
