34-year-old man killed in rollover crash on I-10 in Thousand Palms

A Coachella man was killed after being ejected from his vehicle in a rollover crash on Interstate 10 in Thousand Palms.

The crash was reported at around 10:30 a.m., on the eastbound side of the I-10, between Cook Street and Monterey Avenue.

The driver, identified as Jose Manuel Rodriguez, 34, of Coachella, was traveling in a Ford Expedition that rolled over multiple times before stopping on its side, according to California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said Rodriguez was not wearing a seatbelt. He was the only person in the SUV.
