Coachella Valley Sees Toasty March Temps to Start the Work Week

A very warm day across the deserts today and tomorrow as daytime highs soar to 10-15+ degrees above normal.

We hit record high temperatures in Thermal and Idyllwild today.

While we're kicking off the work week on a toasty note, it's probably tomorrow that will be the warmest day of the week for us.

I'm watching temperatures in the upper 90s through Tuesday, so there's a possibility we could break a few records today or tomorrow.

You can thank a large area of high pressure just offshore for our very warm weather through mid week. Not to mention some light offshore winds are helping a few areas climb a couple more degrees.

We'll start to notice a trough of low pressure contribute a little bit to our weather pattern by late week, but it will be much more noticeable on the coast. We'll likely still stay in the mid to low 80s through Thursday, with a bit more of a drop in temps., back to near seasonal come Friday.
