Palm Desert student takes on 100 holes of golf to raise $20K for kids of St. Jude
A teenager from Palm Desert is ready to "play non-stop" at Mission Hills Country Club this weekend in order to raise $20,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Max Margolis, 16, is captain of the Palm Desert High School golf team. He plans to play up to 100 holes of golf in Rancho Mirage on Saturday and is looking for support to help children.
In case you're wondering, that's nearly six rounds of golf in one day.

Max is inspired by his teenage cousin, lost to leukemia. He recalls watching him "fight and suffer for too many years."
"This is an opportunity for me to help, hopefully improve other children's lives," Max said, "I feel the least I can do is arrange my fundraiser which can hopefully go towards finding a cure or saving a child's life."
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has a mission to research, treat, prevent, and cure catastrophic diseases like cancer that impact children. Patients' families are not asked to pay for treatment. The hospital relies on donors to help sustain its work.
As of Wednesday, September 28, Max had reached more than 75% of his goal.
Max is inviting in-person support as well, saying, "Anyone and everyone are welcome to watch as I play these rounds of golf on the course and the support is greatly appreciated."
