Riverside County’s one-person per pool policy is now in effect

Riverside County has amended this policy and is now allowing members of the same household to share a community swimming pool.

Original Report - 4/24/2020:

Riverside County has officially adopted a one swimmer in a pool at a time policy for private pools (HOA, apartment complex, hotel, motel, and country clubs) around Riverside County.

This order applies regardless of size or volume of pool.

No gatherings around the pool are permitted, though a parent or guardian
should remain with a minor who is swimming at all times to ensure safety.

All outdoor furniture in pool areas must be removed or stacked/chained in such a manner that furniture is rendered unusable.

Drinking fountains and showers must remain closed and roped off from use.

High touch areas such as hand rails, restroom surfaces, light switches, dispensers, faucets, and door knobs must be sanitized frequently.

Public/city pools remain closed, however, pool cleaning is considered an essential public work as it is necessary to protect safety and
sanitation so services shall continue.
