Haiti Earthquake Relief Concert

PALM SPRINGS – A concert to raise money for the “Save the Children — Haiti Earthquake Children Emergency Fund” will be held Thursday in Palm Springs.

The concert is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Hotel Zoso’s zLounge, 150 N. Indian Canyon Drive, said Hotel Zoso General Manager Lesley Carey.

The concert will feature local artists Pat Rizzo, Elizabeth Dreyfuss, Dela Zimmer and Bill Marx. The event also will include a silent and live auction.

The Save the Children organization, which has an office in Rancho Mirage, will use the funds to rebuild schools and orphanages.

Eisenhower Medical Center emergency room physician Raul Ruiz, who just returned from a medical mission in Haiti, is expected to speak about his experiences in the earthquake-devastated country.

Tickets cost $100 and $50.
