Indian Canyon Re-Opens After Winds Shut It Down Overnight
Palm Springs police say high winds and blowing sand have forced them to close Indian Canyon Dr. south of Interstate 10, around 8:45pm last night, but they managed to clear the roadway, and re-open it nearly 12 hours later.
The closure first took effect Wednesday night when winds kicked up across the Coachella Valley.
When Indian Canyon closes, police recommend taking Gene Autry as an alternate route to I-10.
