Truss & Twine features creative cocktails and locally sourced bites

From the owners of Workshop Kitchen and Bar comes a new cocktail spot — Truss & Twine.

This Palm Springs cocktail bar promises local products, creative drinks and a unique atmosphere.

Owner and chef Michael Beckman explains the bar’s name.

“The space here has tremendous trusses and it’s one of the first architectural features that stood out to us and, twine brought in the culinary element, the big staple for the food menu here is the cheese nosh,” Beckman said.

Speaking of nosh, items on the menu feature native desert products.

“Highlighting products like cactus, bougainvillea, rabbit, citrus, olives, products the desert is known for,” Beckman said.

While the menu looks delicious, we can’t forget about the star of the show, the cocktails. The menu has them broken down into eras like Golden Age, Prohibition and Tiki.

“You’re looking at classic (items) acknowledging history and adapting for today’s tastes, which makes our drinks super balanced and always really special,” Beckman said.

Best of all, happy hour is from 4 to 6 everyday.

“For happy hour, we feature draft wines, which are really great quality, old fashioneds, gimlets, daiquiris. All for eight bucks, our typical price point is $12 to $14,” Beckman said.

Combine that with different DJs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and you’ve got a recipe for a good time.
