One Person Trapped In Coachella Accident
Two people were transported to a local hospital after being cut from the wreckage of a two-vehicle accident in Coachella, Cal Fire authorities said.
The accident was reported at 11:12 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 52 and Harrison Street and blocked the intersection for a short time.
When paramedics and fire crews arrived, they found one person trapped, prompting them to use hydraulic cutters to snip away the layers of automobile in order to get to them.
Reporter Greg Lee tells us two people were taken away on stretchers, one man and one woman.
The extent of their injuries is not known.
