Random shooting in Coachella injures one

Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Saturday in Coachella on Harrison Street.

Shots were fired just north of avenue 49. Police say the victims were headed northbound on Harrison Street when a man pulled up alongside them and fired multiple shots at their vehicle.

One victim was struck several times and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No one else was injured.

The shooter’s vehicle is described as a newer white Ford F-150 “Raptor” model crew cab truck.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man with a thin build and dark complexion.
