Two people injured in SunLine bus crash

Two people were injured when a vehicle crashed into a bus in Palm Desert Monday, a sheriff’s sergeant said.

The crash was reported at 11:30 a.m. at Fred Waring Drive and Warner Trail, where a vehicle struck a SunLine bus that had stopped to pick up passengers. The vehicle’s driver and one of the bus’s passengers were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Larry Sherman said.

He said alcohol and/or drugs didn’t appear to be factors in the crash.
