Fire damages two home in Banning
Fire damaged two houses in Banning Sunday and forced the closure of a street.
Firefighters were dispatched at 9:34 a.m. to the 100 block of North 8th Street.
They contained the blaze within 45 minutes amid high winds, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.
No injuries were reported.
Banning police officers shut down 8th Street between Williams and Ramsey streets, while firefighters worked.
The fire also burnt the outside of a neighboring home, but it was just superficial damage.
