Building unscathed after trash fire sparks in Palm Springs
The Palm Springs Fire Department was called to a fire near an abandoned building on the northeast corner of Tahquitz Canyon Way and Calle El Segundo Thursday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly after 12 p.m.
Officials said it appeared that trash caught fire next to the building but firefighters were able to put it out before it spread to the structure. There was no damage to the building and nobody was injured.
There’s no word on how the trash caught fire. Investigators are looking into the blaze and News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 will deliver more details soon.
