Authorities investigate arson fires at Redlands High School
Authorities are investigating multiple fires that sparked early Wednesday morning at Redlands High School in San Bernardino County. Investigators believe they fires were caused by arson.
The fires gutted a school classroom and damaged a bus and storage container. The Sun newspaper (http://bit.ly/1BQiVju) says fire officials received several calls around 4 a.m. Wednesday about a blaze in a school bus yard in Redlands.
While firefighters were battling at least two fires in the yard, they became aware of a blaze at nearby Redlands High School, where students are on Spring Break.
A classroom was engulfed but firefighters managed to extinguish it before it spread to other buildings. Authorities say some other classrooms had shattered windows indicating someone may have attempted to break in.
