$75K reward offered for drone operator arrest
San Bernardino County’s Board of Supervisors approved a $75,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of whoever operated the drones that interfered with firefighters during three recent brush fires.
A news conference will be held Wednesday in San Bernardino to offer more details about the reward and the search for the drone operators.
Two recent wildfires that were affected by drone operators were the North Fire and the Lake Fire.
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously in support of state and federal legislation that would criminally penalize operators of drones whose remote-controlled aircraft disrupt aerial firefighting efforts.
