CVWD offers rebate applications online

It’s now easier than ever for Coachella Valley Water District customers to apply for some of the $4.7 million in available discounts and rebates aimed at improving water efficiency and supporting conservation efforts.

The agency’s new online feature, available at cvwd.org/rebates, allows customers to create an account, then easily apply electronically for any of the variety of programs that help reduce water consumption.

Discounts and rebates are being offered to help customers offset the costs of turf conversion, new generation sprinkler nozzles, smart irrigation controllers, toilet replacement and indoor conservation kits.

The statewide drought and conservation mandates have increased demand for the funds, prompting water district officials to increase the amount of money available this year from the $3.2 million offered in 2014.

Customers without computer access can continue to apply by mail or phone, by calling (888) 871-1660.
