Woman arrested for DUI after crashing into two bicyclists
A woman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing into two bicyclists in Rancho Mirage on Friday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. on Bob Hope Drive near Rancho Las Palmas. Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said 71-year-old Linda Brechtel, of Yucca Valley, was arrested at the scene.
Both bicyclists were injured, one of whom was taken to an area hospital, treated and released.
