Non-profits partner to give scholarships to local undocumented immigrants

Two Coachella Valley non-profit organizations, Co-Fem and One Future Coachella Valley, are partnering to support undocumented immigrant students who want to continue their education.

For 10 years, One Future has been giving students scholarships so their goals can become a reality. Cristal Salcido was a previous recipient, she says it really helped her be able to afford to go to college.

‘Every year, I received $1,500 when I was in community college and that went up to 2,000 when I was in university so that was a big help,” Sacido said.

Those interested in applying for scholarships can go to https://onefuturecv.c2nav.com/#/. You can also call (760) 464-8015. Applications close on August 4.
