Deputy surprises selfless girls with Christmas gifts
After being impressed by their thoughtful nature at a previous event, a Sheriff's Deputy surprised a couple of girls with Christmas gifts.
According to the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station, it all started at a recent "Shop with a Cop" event. During "Shop with a Cop," law enforcement personnel volunteer to spend the morning with a child in need. The children get $200 to pick out gifts, toys, and clothes to help make their holiday season a little brighter.
Deputy Dominuez met the girls at the station's event earlier this month. Instead of using the money given to them to buy things for themselves thought, the girls decided to spend the money to buy things for their mother and siblings.
Impressed by the kindness and selflessness of the girls, Dominuez asked them what their Christmas wish was. The girls said they wanted hoverboards and that was that they went their separate ways. Dominuez did not forget the girls' Christmas wishes.
"Fast forward to Christmas, Deputy Dominuez surprised the girls with their Christmas wishes and with all the smiles seen here, there's no doubt it was a special Christmas Day for everyone. Merry Christmas Lyriq, Kalis, and Kharizma! Thank you for reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas," reads a post by the Station.
