Indian Canyon Drive and North Gene Autry Trail closed to traffic due to high winds, sand, and blowing dust

Palm Springs Police closed North Indian Canyon Drive and North Gene Autry Trail at their Whitewater Wash crossings to all traffic Wednesday morning due to blowing winds, sand, and dust.

The high winds lowered visibility along the major traffic arteries in and out of the city.

Vista Chino Road remained open to traffic.
