Border Patrol Agents Discover Large Amount Of Cocaine Hidden In Car
U.S. Border Patrol agents said they discovered a large amount of cocaine hidden in a compartment near the front wheels.
The discovery was made at the station on Interstate 8, east of Calexico, on Sunday morning.
Agents said a white sedan was flagged for a secondary inspection. That’s where authorities found packages hidden above the rear cross axle of the vehicle.
The packages contained a white powdery substance which later tested positive for cocaine, agents said. They estimated the street value at $633,000.
The driver, narcotics and vehicle were all turned over to the Drug Enforcement Adminitration.
