Identities released after two found dead in Indian Wells
Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are investigating two deaths with strange circumstances at a home in the Indian Wells Country Club on May 16.
The Riverside County Coroner has identified the woman who died from a gunshot wound as 75-year-old Gail Irene Temple. She lived in Indian Wells.
According to the Marin Independent Journal, 74-year-old Robert Small was the man who was found dead that morning. Small lived in Rancho Mirage and Ross, California. He is a former hotel executive for Fairmont Hotels and Walt Disney World.
Small’s website says he achieved five-star status during his tenure as General Manager for both the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, and the Amsterdam Marriott in the Netherlands. His website also states that he lived with his wife Carla.
Small was found dead shortly after 4 a.m. at a home in the 77000 block of Sioux Drive in Indian Wells. Gail Temple was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The sheriff’s department continues to investigate and hasn’t released any additional information.
