Palm Desert restaurant changes in-person dining experience

Doors at French Rotisserie Cafe in Palm Desert are open for dine in service. 

“Excited and hope that everyone will feel comfortable to comeback," said Fuentes.  

Fabienne Fuentes, Owner of the cafe, said they're taking extra measures aimed at keeping diners and staff safe including investing in a new air purification system. 

“What it does with UV lights and filters it actually cleans the air thats recycled through the air conditioning," said Fuentes. "The air will be recycled through these filters and we will kill all the bacteria, the viruses and all kinds of other contaminants in the air.” 

Fuentes said it was worth the investment and her priority is customer safety. 

One loyal customer can’t wait to take a seat and enjoy a meal. 

“I have not been out at all, " said Teri Miller. "Because of Luis and Fabienne’s caring and safety and everything they have done at their restaurant has always been top notch, I know that I can feel confident going in there.”  

Before customers can walk in the door they’ll need to the text restaurant about their arrival time so that staff can start preparing their table.

The cafe owner is also made other changes. 

“We have our lovely staff in the kitchen, they are wearing masks, they are wearing the hats, they are wearing visors," said Fuentes. "We also take their temperature when they come in at the beginning of they day.” 

Fuentes said she and her staff will remain flexible.  

“I think a lot of it is adapting to what our customers are going to tell us because this is a whole new territory," said Fuentes.
