Coachella man sentenced to up to 900 years in prison for child sex abuse
A Coachella man was sentenced to up to 900 years in prison for sexually abusing children.
Daniel Ochoa Perez, 68, was arrested in May 2019 in the area of Vermouth Drive on reports of possible sexual abuse.
The extent of Perez's crimes has not been disclosed by authorities. In December, Perez was found guilty of 43 counts of child sex abuse, including 36 counts of lewd acts with a child under 14.
On Thursday, Riverside County Judge Francisco Navarro sentenced Perez to a determinate sentence of 40 years plus an indeterminate sentence of 900 years to life in prison.
