Cleanup efforts underway, wildfire near Highway 111 and Tramway Road contained

Bicyclist killed in crash with Riverside County Sheriff’s vehicle in Palm Desert

The California Highway Patrol and Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies were investigating a fatal Palm Desert traffic collision Tuesday morning that involved a sheriff’s deputy vehicle and a bicyclist.  The collision happened around 3:40 a.m. on Country Club Drive and Eldorado Drive.
