Cyclist struck by car

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department got a call around 1:45 p.m. in regards to a cyclist hit by a car at Deep Canyon Rd. and Fairway Dr. in Palm Desert Sunday. The bicyclist had moderate injuries and was sent to a local area hospital. The driver who hit the bicyclist remained at the scene and was cooperative with police. The accident did not result in any road closures. This is an on-going investigation.
