19-year-old man arrested in connection with deadly shooting in Desert Hot Springs
Update 12/30/25 A 19-year-old man from Lancaster has been arrested in connection with the shooting, police said. Jail records show he was arrested Tuesday morning in Lancaster. Se intensifican las protestas en contra de ICE en el Valle de Coachella
Palm Springs, Calif. (KUNA) – Las protestas contra las redadas migratorias continuan y se han intesificado en el Valle de Coachella, hoy se suscito una más en la ciudad de Palm Springs, tuvo lugar en la esquina de la calle Ramon y San Luis Rey, a ella se unieron varios activista en pro de la comunidad migrante. Miembros de la organización civil “United Youth We Stand” jóvenes unidos de pie fueron quienes organizaron y encabezaron esta manifestación. “Somos bastantes jóvenes, muchos de nosotros crecimos con padres inmigrantes, muchas de nuestras familias son familias inmigrantes”, expresó Marlen Aguilar, voluntaria en la organización. Durante la protesta se  observaron diversos mensajes plasmados en letreros los cuales cargaban emotivamente los manifestantes. Adicionalmente la organización se encuentra recaudando fondos para adquirir productos de primera necesidad y donarlos a quienes temen salir de sus hogares. “Han hecho muchos arrestos injustos, y han lastimado a nuestra comunidad, especialmente durante las fechas festivas”, comentó Samantha RodrÃguez, fundadora de United Youth We Stand.
