Vista Chino, Gene Autry & Indian Canyon remain closed at the wash

Vista Chino has been closed again at the wash, the city announced.

Vista Chino has been reopened at the wash.
No word on Gene Autry or Indian Canyon at this time. Check back for updates.
Three major roads to get in and out of Palm Springs remain closed to traffic Tuesday due to flooding.
Officials closed N. Indian Canyon Drive, Vista Chino Road, and Gene Autry Trail at the Whitewater Wash on Monday.
There is no word on when the roads may be reopened.
A First Alert Weather Alert is in effect for Monday and Tuesday.
An atmospheric river in Southern California is bringing rain to the Coachella Valley.
Rainfall can create hazardous conditions on roadways.
Before hitting the roads, check your vehicle's lights and windshield wipers.
On the roads, drive slowly to maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and others.
"One of the key messages is incredibly important: turnaround, don’t drown," said Shane Reichardt, the Senior Public Information Specialist for Riverside County’s Emergency Management Department. "Every time it rains, we see residents driving into those waterways and ending up stuck."
Fire stations throughout Riverside County have sandbags available for residents.
