Turpin child abuse survivors file suit against Riverside County and foster care agency

Six of the 13 Turpin family children have filed a lawsuit against Riverside County. They escaped their abusive parent’s Perris home in western Riverside County in 2018. “Our clients are telling us that what happened in this foster family, in many instances was worse,” said Elan Zektser, attorney with Oakwood Legal Group, representing the Turpin siblings.

Coachella Valley Firebirds to play home opener on Dec. 18 at Acrisure Arena

The Coachella Valley Firebirds have their home opener for the upcoming inaugural season. College of the Desert restores phone services, website after July 4 network disruption

College of the Desert’s phone systems and website are back up after two week interruption caused by a network disruption. The college’s online services, including email, phone, and internet access were down on July 4.
