Warmer than normal all week

Highs will remain slightly above normal throughout the week, with fairly calm wind conditions. Areas surround the Coachella Valley will be dealing with excessive heat. Highs will again span the lower one-teens this afternoon as the Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect. That Excessive Heat Warning is up now through 8 this evening. Less humidity, more heat

Today we should see dew points and humidity readings start to dry up a bit heading into the weekend as monsoonal flow moves farther east. By this evening, it should feel less muggy out there. Temperatures remain fairly close to our seasonal averages through the weekend, but we are expecting a warm-up into next week.
