Service has been restored for Spectrum customers across the Coachella Valley, following an overnight outage over the weekend. The outage started Saturday evening and lasted until Sunday morning.

News Channel 3 received emails from residents from Palm Springs to Indio, saying their internet, landlines and cable were impacted.

In a statement to News Channel 3, Spectrum says their fiber lines were cut as a result of vandalism.

Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network says it can be an inconvenience for some, but for others it can be life threatening.

An investigation is underway as Spectrum works to determine how many Valley customers were affected.

Stay with News Channel 3 to hear from officials about what you should do if another outage occurs.
