The Wind Advisory that was in place for the Coachella Valley expired on time at 5 this morning. While it remains breezy, the winds have decreased markedly since yesterday and last night. Powerful winds caused road closures and other damage. Winds are expected to hover i the 15-20mph range today in areas near the freeway.

Gusty Winds Rule the Forecast

While the overnight Wind Advisory for the Coachella Valley expired at 6 a.m., the winds remain with us. The Advisory also remains for areas of the Inland Empire, High Desert, and areas East of the Valley through various times tomorrow. Winds maxed out at 44mph in Thousand Palms, with lesser gusts elsewhere in the Valley.
